But it is indeed a solution. A convenience. The feat eschew materials is a waste of a feat slot. You are far better off just buying the regents and using the feat slot for something else. Eschew materials is sorta a newb trap you should avoid. The materials cost almost nothing and only take up 9 spots if you can cast 9th level spells.
